They are supported by a midwife and health visitor and the district nursing team as well as the mental health team; substance misuse team and other community services.
More than 10,000 patients are registered at the Globe Town Surgery. We are a multiracial practice working in a multiracial community. None of the doctors see private patients.
We also cater for the students at Queen Mary University.
Teaching and training
This is a teaching practice. Medical and nursing students sometimes sit in with the practice doctors and nurses. You will always be asked if you mind their presence at your consultation. If you don’t want a student to be present when you see the doctor or nurse, please tell our reception staff. You may also be asked to consent to your consultation being videoed as part of the training process. You can choose not to participate or ask that the video be turned off. Intimate examinations will not be videoed. All videos are confidential and will only be used in training and will be securely help and erased after use. Your help in training tomorrow's doctors is greatly valued.
Practice catchment area - For an outline of our catchment area see our Find Us page. We can only register new patients who live within this boundary:

The Primary Care Trust sometime writes to patients to check their address. It is important that you reply to this letter, or you may be removed from the practice's list and your notes returned to the Primary Care Trust.
